District Award Nominations
Nomination forms are now being accepted for the 2013 Northwest District Awards and District Award of Merit.  Awards will presented at the District Dinner in May.  Forms can be turned in to the Scout Service Center or emailed to the addresses on the form.  a list of previous winners can be found on the District Awards page

Florida Sea Base Lottery Now Open!
The lottery for 2014 high adventures at the Florida National High Adventure Sea Base is now open from January 15 to February 15, 2013. More information and the access to the lottery can be obtained through the Sea Base website at www.bsaseabase.org.


Call for Silver Beaver Nominations
Do you know of one of our volunteer Scouters who has truly shown the Scouting Spirit and gone above and beyond in their service to the youth of Northwest Ohio? If so, be sure to nominate that special person for a Silver Beaver Award. It’s the highest honor a volunteer Scouter can receive from a local Scout council. Nominations for the Silver Beaver must be in to the Distinguished Awards Committee by March 31, 2013. Nomination forms are available at the Scout Office, online at www.erieshorescouncil.org in the leader Resources listing under the Resources section or email erieshores@bsamail.org and we can send you an electronic copy to print. National Jamboree 2013

Go Big, Get Wild! The 2013 National Scout Jamboree is coming and it ain't your father's jamboree. We're talking seriously high adventure, people! Whitewater rafting, zip-lining, rappelling, mountain biking, hiking, and more - with 50,000 of your closest friends at the brand new Summit Bechtel Reserve in the wilds of West Virginia.
July 15 to July 24, 2013

Erie Shores Council will send one Troop of 36 youth  and a quarter Crew of 8 co-ed youth.  Once those spots are filled, a waiting list will be started

Boy Scout Scuba Diving Programs are being offered by Aqua Hut Dive Center throughout the year.  Boys can earn either the Scuba, BSA activity patch or the new Scuba Diving Merit Badge.  A flier with more information can be found here.
