The Disability Awareness Merit Badge event has been cancelled
This is due to the cancellation of all MDA summer camps because of concern for the swine flu. The organizers hope to offer it again next year.


University of Scouting will take place on November 7, 2009 and the planning committee is looking for leaders of all levels to share their knowledge or work on staff.  A course wish list has been developed and can be found here.


Erie Shores Council will hold once again hold Scoutmaster Specific Training, Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills & Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders in October, 2009

Toledo School for the Arts will once again host a Webelos Art Day in October, 2009.

An Archaeology Merit Badge Weekend will held in September at PSR.  A flier with more info is available on the Events page.


A new Awards page has been created to highlight our volunteers and Scouts who have received the Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit and other district awards.


Camp Frontier is celebrating it's 40th Anniversary this year.  A Staff Reunion is being held for all present and past camp staff.  Check the Events page for info.


Due to popular demand last year, Webelos II Resident Camp has been expanded to
2 sessions in 2009.  More info and links to the Flier & Leaders Guide have been added
to the Events page.


As a result of the expansion of Peanut Corporation of America’s (PCA) Salmonella related recall, Weaver Popcorn Company has issued a precautionary voluntary recall on specific dated 9.5 oz. Trails End Caramel Corn with Peanuts.  No other Trails End product is part of this recall.  The press release with more details can be found here.


Erie Shores Council will hold ASHI Wilderness First Aid/CPR Training in November, 2009

Black Swamp will host this years Wood Badge Course (C-90-09) in August & September, 2009.  Wood Badge is open to all levels of Scout leadership!  More information and a brochure with registration form is available on the Training Page.

Cornell University has a fun opportunity for Troops & Packs to learn about common birds in the city while participating in a study.  Participation could help with Cub Scout advancement/electives or Boy Scout merit badges.  A flier with more info is available here.
